If you are exhausted, burnt out, or feeling a deep sense of "stuckness," your system is likely in a state of protection. In that state, your brain doesn't care about your vision board. It only cares about your survival. When your conscious desire for "more" clashes with your body’s need for "safety," the body wins. Every. Single. Time.

There is a gap between what you want and what you are available for.
Think of your conscious mind as the captain of a ship. The captain points to the horizon and says, "We’re going to that island of abundance." But the subconscious mind—the 95% of your mental processing that happens below the surface—is the engine room and the crew.
If the crew believes that the "island of abundance" is actually a dangerous place where you’ll be overworked, judged, or isolated, they will quietly drop the anchor. You can scream orders from the deck all day, but the ship isn't moving.
This gap is where "self-sabotage" lives. It’s the space where your conscious intentions meet your subconscious patterns.

Your subconscious mind doesn't speak in "goals." It speaks in Identity and Evidence.
By the time we are adults, we have a very fixed idea of who we are and what is "normal" for us. This is your internal thermostat. If your subconscious identity is "someone who has to work hard to survive," then any opportunity for ease will feel "wrong" or "unstable" to your system.

We’ve all been told to "change our thoughts to change our life." But if you’ve ever said “I am wealthy and abundant” while feeling a pit of dread in your stomach, you know that affirmations can actually make you feel worse.
